Quartz Counter Tops

Quartz is known for easy maintenance and nonporous surface.  This counter top will never require a sealer and comes in variety of colors. Caesarstone provides colors that most natural stones can’t and that’s solid color from bright reds to lime green.  The nonporous surface resist most stains and is backed with a lifetime warranty.  Most nonabrasive cleaners can be used for cleaning.  Similar to natural stone its best to use PH Neutral cleaners on quartz counter tops.

Quartz is easier to cut the surface and can be damaged by heat.  It is recommended that chopping blocks be used with sharp objects and a buffer when placing hot pans our pots on the counter top.

Care and Maintenance

Use a soft cloth with warm water and soap. If needed apply, non-abrasive cleaners with rough texture, household cleaners such as Soft Scrub Liquid Gel with Bleach, or Comet Soft Cleanser Cream directly on a damp cloth or sponge and wipe the surface, always rinsing after application. To avoid dulling the surface's shine rinse off any cleaner with water. To remove adhered material such as food, gum, or nail polish, first scrape away the excess material with a plastic putty knife and then clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any marks left behind and any residual dirt.

Caesarstone is resistant to cracks, scratches and stains. However, with enough pressure any surface can be damaged.  Caesarstone’s composition is resistant to most stains caused by fruit juices, liquid food coloring, coffee, tea, wine, grapes and soft drinks.  Quartz non-porous nature provides superior resistance to staining and eliminates the need for sealing. The solid surface counter is non-porous and greatly reduces the chances of bacterial growth.  Quartz surfaces are highly scratch resistant; however, don’t use sharp objects such as sharp knives or screwdrivers directly on the surface. The use of a cutting board is always recommended.

Structurally more heat resistant in comparison to other stones, including granite counter tops. Counter top material can potentially be damaged by rapid temperature changes, especially near the edges.  When putting pots and pans on the cold surface causes a rapid heat transfer causing at minimum micro-cracks in the surface. Using inexpensive hot pads or trivets is always recommended, especially when using cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock pots, or roaster ovens. Damage from using hot cook wear is not covered by the lifetime warranty.

Consumers have opted to use quartz in outdoor areas but the counter top warranty will be void.  Register online with Caesarstone to receive the lifetime warranty.
